Michael Jeffery

Director, Corporate Finance
Australia

With a career spanning over more than 15 years, Michael has gained extensive experience in corporate finance, corporate structuring, primary and secondary equity raisings, debt, transaction structure, valuation opinions and corporate reviews across multiple sectors. He has originated, led, and advised on multiple transactions and manages wealth for some of Australia’s most sophisticated clientele across equities, derivatives, and other financial products across all asset classes.

Most recently Michael was Chief Operating Officer of one of Australia’s fastest-growing FinTechs, Grapple. He also has previously worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Ord Minnett, Phillip Capital, and Austock.

Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce (Applied Finance), Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment, a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), and a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Jai Ayoub

Director, Strategic Partnerships
Global

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Jai is responsible for cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with key partners both domestically and globally. With expertise in identifying industry trends and opportunities, Jai collaborates with stakeholders to facilitate business needs and drive growth through strategic partnerships.

With a background in project and event management, Jai leads cross-functional teams and enhances the company's profile internationally. Jai has years of experience in dealing with multinational companies across various sectors such as Mining, Renewable Energy, and Technology, making him an invaluable asset to the organisation's continued success.

Jack Colreavy, CFA

Associate Director,
Corporate Finance

Jack is a Senior Associate within BPC's Corporate Finance Team advising clients on ASX and LSE listing strategies. He has a passion for impact investing with a particular focus on renewable energy. Jack is also the author of "As Barclay Sees It", a weekly newsletter providing commentary and insight into current macroeconomic events.

Prior to BPC, Jack was a professional athlete representing Australia over the marathon distance with a career-best 45th place at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London. Jack also has experience as an Equities Dealer working for Paradice Investment Management.

Jack is a CFA Charterholder, and has also completed a Masters of Commerce (Finance & Banking) at the University of Sydney to add to a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Notre Dame, Australia.

Morgan McGuire

Director,
Corporate Finance

Morgan, our Queensland State Manager, has an extensive background in research, negotiation, statistical analysis, and a successful history in the small cap sector working with HNW individuals and Institutions alike.

He has built many strong relationships with his evidence based approach, exemplary communications skills and dedication to delivering for his clients is evident in his client centered approach.

Morgan is completing a Bachelor of Psychology with a focus on Organisational & Business Psychology and is RG146 (General & Securities) compliant.

WEALTH MANAGEMENT

James Whelan

Managing Director

James holds the position of Managing Director of the BPC Asset Management team, where his primary responsibility is to initiate and advance the Barclay Pearce Wealth Management solution. His extensive career spans various aspects of the retail and institutional broking industry, which equips him with nearly two decades of experience in finance.

In his earlier roles, James acted as the lead manager for a globally oriented set of managed discretionary accounts, and he was also a founding member of Pershing Australia, instrumental in establishing the framework that safeguards a substantial portion of the Australian financial sector's assets. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a focus on Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, along with an Advanced Diploma in Applied Finance. He also holds certifications in Derivatives and Managed Investment Schemes.

James is recognised for his financial expertise and is the financial commentator at BPC. Beyond his financial acumen, James is an Australian Champion Jump Roper in the 40+ age category, showcasing his dedication to both professional and personal excellence.

Trent Primmer

Director - Trading

With a wealth of experience as a Senior Advisor in the financial services industry, Trent brings a proven track record of success to the table. His expertise spans across a wide range of areas including banking, credit analysis, portfolio management, sales, commercial banking, corporate finance, and equity trading.

Trent has a deep understanding of risk management and investment strategies, and is known for his exceptional skills in navigating the complexities of financial markets.

Trent's client base primarily consists of sophisticated, High Net Worth (HNW), and wholesale investors. His ability to cultivate strong relationships and his dedication to understanding his clients set him apart as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Dealer's Assistant

William works within BPCs Asset Management team as a Dealers Assistant. He assists with client inquiries and collaborates closely with advisors to ensure seamless settlements of client transactions. Prior to joining BPC, William gained valuable experience in the banking sector, where he honed essential skills such as attention to detail, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. These skills have proven invaluable in his current role, enabling him to provide the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.

William has completed a Bachelor of Economics Degree, majoring in Finance at University of Technology, Sydney. He has expanded upon this business acumen having completed the RG 146 Compliance Course with Kaplan professional.

Donna Warner

Chief Marketing Officer

Donna has 20+ years’ experience across investor relations, marketing, media, and events for companies ranging from early-stage startups to some of Australia’s largest blue chip and multinational brands.

Many ASX-listed companies have entrusted Donna to generate market confidence in their stock, via the timely and accurate distribution of media announcements and company presentations. Her strong network of investor media contacts, investment bankers, stockbrokers, and corporate advisors enables her to generate high-quality exposure with influencers of trading volume and stock price. Her road shows are attended by some of Australia’s top analysts, fund managers, and potential investors.

Donna holds a Graduate Diploma in Business, Management and Marketing and is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

Amit Anil

Director of Marketing, Branding & Strategy

Amit specialises in brand development and marketing strategy. He has 15+ years of experience across a variety of industries championing an integrated communications approach for start-ups and established brands. Amit helps clients fine-tune their communication strategy online and offline, through brand copy, presentation, strategic partnerships and visual showcases. His strong background in UX, UI and Design Thinking enables him to tackle every hurdle and challenge with a methodical and efficient approach.

Amit’s network of creative and technical experts helps him stay at the forefront of technology and brand trends.

He holds a Bachelor of Business specialising in Marketing and Advertising from Auckland University of Technology, a Diploma in Digital Media, a Diploma in Graphic Design and certificates in UX, UI and Design Thinking.

Tessa Kelly

Director, Events

Tessa is a highly experienced professional with a passion for hospitality and a customer-centric approach. She has worked across New Zealand, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Bristol, and London. Her experience spans across events management overseeing all customer-related aspects, with every customer receiving a personal touch.

In her previous roles, she managed VIP sales teams and assisted in managing third-party customer care teams. She led the design and rebranding of Hellenika, oversaw the social media presence, and became the concierge for all VIPs.

Now, as our Director of Events, she brings all of this experience to the table, making her the perfect person to plan and execute unforgettable events for our clients.
